Workspace Essentials, a.k.a. "The Ergo Rep" is a manufacturer's representation group that works with office furniture dealers in Southeaast/Central Texas. We are a service based company willing to assist individuals, small businesses, or large corporations in meeting office furniture, design and/or accessory needs. From a simple single chair purchase to re-design of several floors, we are here to serve you.

Principal, David Hodge, began his career in the furniture industry working for a leading manufacturer in ergonomic seating and accessories as a customer service representative. During his time in customer service, David was able to learn the product inside and out, as well as forge relationships with various furniture rep groups throughout the United States. This was a crucial time in his personal development, as he learned the necessary traits to become successful in the field.
His passion for taking care of customers was awarded with the opportunity to become a contract employee for P-tre, Inc. in January of 2006. Over the next 2 ½ years, his service first approach proved to be a formula for success. Under the direction of Martha Parker M.S., CPE (Certified Professional Ergonomist) and Dr. Mark Benden PhD, CPE, David was able to gain an even stronger understanding of the ergonomic furniture industry.
In June of 2008, David was approached with the opportunity to take over the territory in creating his own manufacturer rep firm. In September of 2008, his dream had become a reality. Workspace Essentials was created as the culmination of years of hard work and service based relationships came together.
